When faced with a large painting, or in this case a wall-sized Mural, I like to work out some ideas and thoughts on a smaller scale. This original oil is just that....an exploration of some ideas and a test of color combinations. I used this as a guide when creating the mural, but the final outdoor mural has a look all its own. Also, I used house paint instead of oil....yikes!
The Corner Frame Shop and Leucadia Art Gallery has professionally framed this piece with a linen liner and golden wood molding. Their address is: 1038 N. Coast Hwy. 101 in Leucadia, California. The mural is painted on the gallery's north facing wall. Go check it out and notice the differences in the finished mural and the oil painting study!
